If you’ve ever been interested in singing but didn’t know where to start, voice lessons in Grosse Pointe may be just what you need. Many voice teachers in the area offer lessons to beginners and experienced singers alike. The following are a few options to consider. Carol Perry Studio, Nanette Piazza, Sonneman Studio Piano, Voice and Drama, and Our Lady Star of the Sea Schola are just a few of the choices available.

Carol Perry

Carol Perry specializes in vocal performance and has been teaching voice lessons in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, since 2009. She has degrees from Colorado State University and the Frost School of Music and maintains an independent studio in the town. Perry was a member of the 2017 NATS Intern Program in Toronto, where she studied with Margaret Baroody. Currently, Perry studies with Freda Herseth at the University of Michigan.

Nanette Piazza

Besides offering lessons in voice, Piazza also performs with the South Show Choir. She is a skilled soprano who also plays the violin and piano. She started singing in elementary school and later joined choirs in both middle and high school. She also has several singing gigs under her belt, including a performance at the Ford House. After her voice lessons, she hopes to spend her summers singing and enjoying the other things she loves most.

Sonneman Studio Piano, Voice and Drama

At Sonneman Studio Piano, Voice and Drama, students can learn how to read and play music, create art, and perform for others. With over 25 years of experience, Nanette Sonneman has the knowledge and talent to help students develop their skills in performing and learning. At the studio, students also get to learn performance-based theory, which is a vital part of piano lessons. Students can take lessons from any age and learn to sing and perform with the help of professional pianists, or they can simply pick up a piano and play a song on their own.
